Catherine Smith, DVM

Dr. Catherine Smith was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.  She received a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  She obtained her DVM from Purdue University in 2017.  After finishing vet school, Dr. Smith moved to the Houston area to be closer to family.

Dr. Smith enjoys working with cats and dogs but has a special interest in exotic animal medicine.  Since she was a child, she has owned and worked with several different species of small mammals, amphibians, and reptiles.  She particularly loves turtles! Her evolving group currently includes box turtles, red-eared sliders, a ball python, a leopard gecko, and a cat.

Dr. Smith and her husband stay busy raising their 2 young children.  If she finds spare time, she enjoys arts and crafts, nature, music, comedies, and exploring Houston with her family.
